Relaxed Family Photographer Stoke Newington
Last week I got the absolute pleasure of spending a few hours with the lovely Flora and her little one Ottalie, at their home in Tottenham. Doing family shoots in the home as well and out and about is a new passion for me! I find it wonderful to capture the sometimes seemingly mundane but fleeting routines of everyday life together as a family. It’s so easy for things to be forgotten over time; their favourite toy (here Ottalie was loving the metal figure that I’m sure will be a forgotten love in the next few weeks) or scrunched up family face and noise they make when being tickled.
For this shoot I wanted to be there to snap away at breakfast meaning i got there for 7.30am. It gave a lovely amount of time to get Ottalie used to the camera and relax around it. We started by doing the usual things they do together in a day; reading, playing, blowing bubbles!
After breakfast Ottalie’s cousin came over and it was so lovely to get some photographs of them both interacting together. Having a playmate during these shoots can be another wonderful way to incorporate important people in your child’s life at the point! After some playing at home we ventured out to the nearby Bruce Castle Park so the kids could play outside together in the beautiful Autumn sun.
